Hiace Commuter Van Rental in the Philippines, With Driver Included

Direct answer

Most van rental sites in the Philippines will tell you they have “vans” and leave it there. Lakbaya rents one van, and we name it: the Toyota Hiace Commuter Decontent 2026, with driver. Seat pitch, luggage room, and aircon layout differ between Hiace variants, and a group that fits on paper does not always fit in practice. Our Hiace Commuter seats 14 passengers comfortably. It is possible to seat 15 or 16 using a fabricated seat, but at that count the ride is tighter and luggage space drops, so we only recommend it for short city hops. If your group is 17 or more, we do not squeeze: we split you across two vans. Every booking comes with a driver; Lakbaya does not do self drive on this unit. Tell us the group size and the destination and we will tell you honestly whether one Hiace Commuter is the right call.

What is included in a Lakbaya Hiace Commuter rental

Our default is all-in pricing: van, driver, fuel, and tolls in one number. The figure you approve before booking does not move because traffic was bad. Fuel surprises are the most common complaint in Philippine van rental, where a quote covers the van and the driver and then the fuel bill lands at the end of the day. The standard product is a full-day rental built on a 10-hour window, which covers a typical Metro Manila corporate day, a wedding, or a family outing. For shorter needs we offer hatid-sundo, a one-way trip within Metro Manila and Rizal charged at half rate, the same structure as our van rental in Metro Manila. Outside NCR and Rizal, a one-way is billed as a full day, because the van and driver still have to make the return leg. If your company would rather control fuel spend directly, we also offer a van and driver only arrangement, where you pay fuel and tolls yourself as they are incurred. We do not publish rates on this page. Message us with the date, route, and headcount and you will get a firm quote.

Where a Lakbaya Hiace Commuter can take you

Our base is Antipolo City, Rizal, home of our van rental with driver in Antipolo, Rizal, and our primary coverage is Metro Manila and Rizal. That is where we run most days, so our drivers know the routes, the choke points, and realistic travel times. NAIA airport transfers are a regular part of the work, both arrivals and departures, and a 14-seater matters here because a family or a delegation arriving with full luggage does not fit into two sedans without splitting the group. Beyond NCR and Rizal we run extended trips across Luzon. Baguio and La Union in the north, Tagaytay and Batangas to the south, and Pampanga to the northwest are all routes we serve regularly, along with other provincial Luzon destinations on request. For provincial runs, the all-in quote covers fuel and tolls across the whole route, so a Baguio trip does not turn into a running tally of expressway receipts. Walk-ins at our Antipolo office are welcome by appointment. For most bookings, though, a message with your date and destination is enough to get a quote moving the same day.

Who books a 14-seater Hiace Commuter, and why

Families and reunions are the steadiest use case. A 14-seater keeps three generations in one vehicle instead of a two-car convoy that loses each other on the expressway, and the driver means the person who would otherwise be at the wheel gets to actually be at the reunion. Weddings are the second: bridal entourage transport to the venue and guest shuttles between hotel, church, and reception, where the value is a driver who stays with the vehicle and moves on the coordinator’s schedule. Corporate outings and team-building runs are the third, usually the trips where the all-in quote matters most, because finance wants one predictable number rather than a reimbursement pile; recurring employee runs are covered by our corporate van shuttle service for Makati, BGC and Ortigas. We also run NAIA airport transfers and provincial trips to destinations like Baguio, Batangas, La Union, and Pampanga. If you need more than one van, we broker multiple units for the same booking and settle it as a single balance payment, so a 30-person team-building is one conversation and one payment. Tell us the vertical and the headcount and we will size the booking properly instead of overselling you a van you do not need.

How to book, how to pay, and what documentation you get

Booking is a conversation, not a form. Message Gracey at 0960 308 1921on call, SMS, Viber, or WhatsApp with four things: your date, your pickup point, your destination or route, and your headcount. That is enough for a firm all-in quote. If you are unsure whether your group fits one van, send the headcount anyway and we will tell you whether 14 works or whether you should be looking at two units. On payment, we take both card and cash end to end. The driver carries a card terminal, so the balance can be settled by card on the day of the trip without anyone having to find an ATM or arrange a transfer at 6am. For documentation, a Service Invoice is available for reimbursement and accounting, issued under the operator’s registered IT Services BIR registration (non-VAT). A Lakbaya-branded BIR receipt is currently in process. If your finance team has a specific documentation requirement, raise it when you enquire rather than after the trip.

How Lakbaya compares to nationwide rental brokers

The large nationwide rental sites list 50 or more cities and a long menu of service categories, but if you read them closely they rarely tell you which vehicle you are getting, how many people it actually seats, or whether fuel is in the price. A broker matching you to whichever operator is free that day cannot promise a specific unit, so the copy stays vague. Lakbaya works the other way. We run one van model, the Toyota Hiace Commuter Decontent 2026, we state the capacity as 14 passengers, and we quote all-in with fuel and tolls included so there is nothing left to discover on trip day. The international brands are a different problem: their Philippine sites route into global self-drive booking funnels, which does not help if what you need is a 14-seater with a driver who knows the route to Baguio. Our tradeoff is honest. We are not nationwide. Our depth is Metro Manila and Rizal, extending across Luzon. If your trip is inside that footprint, you get a named vehicle, a fixed number, and a driver who has run the route before. The full service list is at the Lakbaya van rental home.

Frequently asked questions

How many passengers fit in a Hiace Commuter van rental?

The Toyota Hiace Commuter Decontent 2026 seats 14 passengers comfortably. It is possible to fit 15 or 16 using a fabricated seat, but comfort and luggage space both drop noticeably, so we recommend that only for short trips and not for long provincial runs. For groups of 17 or more, we split the booking across multiple vans rather than overloading one unit. Send us your exact headcount and we will tell you honestly whether one van is enough or whether you should book two.

Is fuel included, or do I pay for gas and tolls separately?

Our standard quote is all-in: van, driver, fuel, and tolls in a single number, so there are no fuel surprises at the end of the trip. That is the option most families, weddings, and corporate bookings take, because the number you approve before the trip is the number you pay after it. We also offer a van and driver only arrangement where you pay fuel and tolls directly as they are incurred, which suits companies with existing fuel accounts or strict reimbursement policies.

How long is a full-day rental, and do you do one-way trips?

A full-day rental runs on a 10-hour window, which covers a standard corporate day, a wedding, or a family day trip with time on either side. For shorter needs, we offer hatid-sundo, a one-way drop or pickup within Metro Manila and Rizal, charged at half rate. If the one-way trip goes outside NCR and Rizal, it is billed as a full day, because the van and driver still have to complete the return leg. Send your route and we will confirm which applies before you commit.

Do you go outside Metro Manila, to places like Baguio or Batangas?

Yes. Metro Manila and Rizal are our primary coverage area, and we regularly run extended trips across Luzon, including Baguio, Tagaytay, La Union, Batangas, and Pampanga, plus other provincial Luzon destinations on request. We also handle NAIA airport transfers for both arrivals and departures. On provincial routes, the all-in quote covers fuel and tolls for the whole trip, so a Baguio run does not turn into a stack of expressway receipts to reconcile afterward.

Can I pay by card, and can you issue a receipt for reimbursement?

Yes to both. We accept card and cash end to end, and the driver carries a card terminal, so the balance can be settled by card on the day of the trip without arranging a transfer in advance. For documentation, a Service Invoice is available for reimbursement and accounting purposes, issued under the operator's registered IT Services BIR registration (non-VAT). A Lakbaya-branded BIR receipt is in process. If your company has a specific documentation requirement, tell us when you enquire.

Can you provide more than one van for a large group?

Yes. We broker multi-van bookings, so a group of 30 or 40 can be handled as one booking with one point of contact and a single balance payment rather than several separate rental agreements. This is the usual setup for corporate team-building, wedding guest shuttles, and large family reunions. Give us the total headcount, the pickup point, and the route, and we will work out how many Hiace Commuter units you need and quote the whole thing as one number.
